Although Mike's career began in broadcast at WEWS-TV and WJW-TV, even that world was too small for him. As founder and co-owner of Classic Teleproductions, Mike's drive and passion for storytelling quickly established Classic as the premiere television production company in the Midwest.
A 17-time Emmy Award winner as a producer, director, writer and researcher. Mike has partnered with clients that range from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, to virtually every local network affiliate in Ohio.
With a keen sense of the changes confronting broadcast stations, Mike designed and marketed programming services that saw Classic Teleproductions become the company of choice for broadcast stations across Ohio and beyond. Dave began his career as broadcast producer for Rainbow Advertising. The skill he developed in telling stories in 30 seconds served him well as a Sportscaster in Florida at WMBB-TV where he earned Associated Press Sports Anchor and Sports Reporter awards in the same year. This marked the first time these awards were won by the same person in both catagories.
David returned to Cleveland, joining WUAB-TV and WOIO-TV as a Sports Reporter in 1995. In 1999, he joined Classic to oversee the weekly broadcast programs we were providing for WJW-TV. Under his direction, Classic added weekly programs for WKYC-TV, WEWS-TV, WUAB-TV and WNEO-TV.
As a sports reporter, David excelled at developing a concept, researching facts, and telling a story the viewer can relate to. These skills are invaluable for Classic's weekly broadcast programs and our clients.
